Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 "CAA" contains the provisions for the Support Foster Youth and Families through the Pandemic Act and provides significant assistance to young people with experience in foster care during the pandemic.

On May 26, 2021 HI H.O.P.E.S hosted a pandemic support virtual town hall.

Welcome to our new, quarterly newsletter. What a time this has been. A year ago, we pivoted to virtual meetings, circles, conferences and have not looked back! I know that sometimes it is hard to be hopeful in this challenging time. This is one reason why we are sending this newsletter, so that we can reflect on the many accomplishments that come from all of us working together.

Description: Over 70% of children in foster care have siblings in care. Many of them are separated in foster care. This training focuses on the need for siblings to stay connected while in care, provides recommendations and utilizes the voice of youth and professionals with experience.

Begun in 1996, EPIC’s ‘Ohana Conferencing Program is now an essential statewide service that's provided to families who are navigating Hawaii's Child Welfare Services.
